ABOUT US
20+ Years of Hard Work, Good People and Jobs Well Done
Based in Alford Aberdeenshire, Future Forestry are Scotland's tree and woodland specialists. Our story spans two decades of professional tree surgery, site clearance and grounds maintenance, with garden services and firewood/coal supply introduced to our range of services in recent years. It's a story of steady, natural growth — much like the trees we work with every day — and it's been guided by the the investment and commitment of our people along the way.
We've grown from a small 'start-up' operator to a trusted and relied-upon business, now approaching 20 staff. Our domestic/private customers know that we'll take care of their property as if it were our own, and our commercial clients have the peace of mind that comes with contracting an experienced, safety-focused operator with a track record that speaks for itself. All of our work is risk-assessed, carefully planned and delivered by staff with the appropriate training — no shortcuts.

Technology
The ‘Future’ in our name isn’t just a title — we’re always looking ahead for new ways to complete work more effectively. Our range of tools for advanced tree surgery and site clearance includes manually operated and remotely controlled ‘Robocut’ machinery, which are ideal for clearing woodland and trees in difficult or inaccessible terrain. Our approach combines brand new kit and the long-established tree surgery methods, in place for generations.
Safety
Working with trees and machinery is a responsibility we take seriously — all on-site staff are fully trained and qualified to undertake their duties and every project is subject to rigorous risk assessment and safety measures.
We operate in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work (etc) Act 1974, and continually review our procedures, seeking continuous improvement in all areas related to health and safety.
Trees For Life
We always encourage replanting of trees, where possible — but we also go a step further by enthusiastically supporting the ‘Trees for Life’ project.
The core purpose and vision is to restore the Caledonian Forest and all its species of flora and fauna to the Scottish Highlands. We have start our own grove of newly planted trees — which we regularly add to on behalf of our customers.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Cutting-Edge Methods, Real Benefits
In the 20+ years we’ve been operating, we’ve paid close attention to technological advances — seeking out new ways to do jobs better, safer and more efficiently. In recent years we’ve introduced Robocut technology to our array of high-spec equipment.
If you've got an upcoming project or want to know more about the services we offer, don't hesitate to contact Future Forestry — we'll be very happy to help in any way we can.
